(hereinafter, Kura Sushi), West Japan Railway Company (hereinafter, JR West), Kyushu Railway Company (hereinafter, JR Kyushu), JR West Marnix Corporation, and JR Kyushu Trading Co., Ltd. will utilize the same-day Shinkansen transportation service "Nimotshuu!" provided by the JR West Group and the same-day Shinkansen transportation service "Hayatto! Bin" provided by the JR Kyushu Group to transport fresh, morning-chilled fish from Kagoshima Prefecture by Shinkansen and sell it at 5 Kura Sushi locations in Osaka City starting July 2, 2026 (Thu). This marks the first time that fresh fish transported by Shinkansen from Kagoshima will be regularly sold at a nationwide conveyor belt sushi chain.

Threadfin bream (one piece)

Mainly caught in the waters near the Ryukyu Islands, including Kyushu and Okinawa. It is sometimes considered a high-class fish in Okinawa. It is characterized by its fine white flesh, elegant sweetness, umami, and firm texture.

Satsuma amberjack (one piece)

Kagoshima Prefecture boasts the No. 1 production volume of farmed amberjack in Japan. This amberjack is raised in the warm, mineral-rich Kinko Bay. It is characterized by its good fat content, firm flesh, and crisp texture.
