★ Higashi-Beppu Station is the oldest wooden single-story station building in Oita Prefecture, having opened in 1911 (Meiji 44). It is a historic station designated as a Tangible Cultural Property of Beppu City. In March 2025, as part of the ekinico project, a rental studio named "BEPPU STUDIO 04" was opened on the second floor of the adjacent maintenance facility (Hosen Tsumesho).
