The Association of Japanese Private Railways, JR Hokkaido, JR East, JR Central, JR West, JR Shikoku, JR Kyushu, Sapporo City Subway, Tokyo Metro, Yokohama City Subway, Nagoya City Subway, Fukuoka City Subway, New Shuttle, Hokuso Railway, Tokyo Monorail, Yurikamome, Tama Monorail, Tokyo Rinkai Kosoku Railway, Yokohama Seaside Line, Aichi Loop Line, Nagoya Rinkai Kosoku Railway, and Osaka Metro have jointly produced an anti-violence poster titled "NO! Violence - Punching People, Ruining Your Life!" which will be displayed in the stations and trains of each railway operator starting July 10, 2026 (Fri).

This initiative calls for the prevention of violence against railway staff, such as station attendants and crew members, and violence arising from troubles between passengers, through the cooperation of each railway operator. The aim is to reduce the number of violent incidents and create an environment where customers can use railways more safely and with peace of mind.

The poster production has received support from the National Police Agency and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

It conveys the message of stopping at that crucial moment before violence escalates and urging people to "hold back." This message is communicated to a wide range of generations, calling on everyone who uses stations and railways to prevent violent acts.
