2. Main Contents of JR East's Exhibition

[Introducing the Future of Mobility and Lifestyle Solutions] Flying cars, the future of Suica, utilization of space-related technologies, fusion energy, etc.

[Introducing Technological Development Achievements] Providing problem-solving solutions for railway operators, development of next-generation Shinkansen (ALFA-X, E10 series), development of hydrogen hybrid trains, development of autonomous BRT, etc. *Exhibit contents are subject to change.

Flying Cars 'Flying cars' operate on electricity, can take off and land vertically, and are less affected by roads and terrain than conventional transportation, gathering attention as a new mode of transport. JR East is working to provide new travel experiences and value using 'flying cars.' We will exhibit a one-third scale mockup of the flying car being developed with the U.S. company 'ASKA.'

Providing Problem-Solving Solutions for Railway Operators

(1) GENICHI 'Technological Development on the Front Lines' is a system where frontline employees take the lead in technological development to solve problems they face on-site. To leverage the results of this system and provide new value to society, a new brand 'GENICHI' was launched in April 2026. We will deliver new value not only to the railway industry but also to a wide range of fields.

(2) Hands-on Training for DX Professionals JR East is actively promoting digital human resource development to advance workplace DX (Digital Transformation). We offer hands-on training, such as acquiring skills in low-code tools*1, for companies facing challenges specific to the railway industry. *1 Low-code tools: Tools that enable the construction of apps and automation systems to streamline operations without specialized programming knowledge.

(3) Safety Education e-Learning 'KeYing' The 'KeYing' e-learning content is provided by the JR East Construction Department. It handles everything from creating materials for highly specialized railway construction to managing trainees, providing high-quality education through original videos of about 10 minutes. The service has now expanded beyond railway operators to bus operators and construction companies.

(4) Support Service for Railway Electrical Technology Utilizing the technology and knowledge of JR East's electrical department, we provide various business support and consulting services related to railway electricity. For example, we offer services to meet requests such as reviewing designs, introducing the smart maintenance implemented at JR East, or considering how to streamline facilities.

(5) Enhanced Vehicle Data Analysis App This data analysis app is equipped with a function to process data acquired from vehicles in real time. It utilizes data recorded on vehicles to help achieve CBM*2 for railway vehicles. Since it can handle various vehicle types and data, it allows for cost-effective implementation. *2 CBM (Condition Based Maintenance): A type of preventive maintenance that monitors the current state of equipment in real time and determines the necessity of maintenance based on that data.

3. Special Lecture and Talk Event by JR East and JR West A special lecture and talk by JR East and JR West will be held concurrently with the Railway Technology Exhibition.
