Wine and Cider Event and Sale of Nagano Prefecture Local Sake Sets

The JR East Nagano Branch will host a special event to enjoy Shinshu wine and cider on Wednesday, April 29 (a public holiday), at Hotel Metropolitan Nagano as a special project for the currently ongoing 'Gather! Station Sake Part! Vol. 6.' In addition, in collaboration with JR East Cross Station, local sake sets will be sold at NewDays Nagano and NewDays Matsumoto Meihinkan. 1. Implementation of the 'Shinshu Wine & Cider Pairing Event with a Sommelier' We will hold a pairing event where you can enjoy wine and cider from five wineries in the prefecture participating in the 'Station Sake Part Vol. 6,' alongside Japanese cuisine appetizers tailored to the Shinshu region. The event will feature a wine tasting, a lecture by a sommelier certified by the Nagano Prefecture Wine Association, and talks by staff from each winery. He also opened a Nagano wine specialty store in front of Matsumoto Station, contributing to the popularization of Nagano wine as a bridge between producers and consumers. Later, he engaged in public awareness activities for consumers and restaurants in the metropolitan area as a 'Ginza NAGANO' sommelier. Currently, he serves as a 'Nagano Prefecture Wine Association Certified Ambassador' and Vice-Chairman of the 'Shinshu Wine Valley Concept Promotion Council,' acting as a 'key person in the Nagano wine world' who collaborates with the government and producers, and oversees everything from production area formation to distribution as a missionary for Nagano wine.
