Jeff Mills
Born in Detroit in 1963. A pioneer of Detroit techno, his representative song "The Bells" enjoys global popularity. Based on his own label "Axis Records," he continues to innovate beyond genres, including collaborations with orchestras, creations based on dialogues with astronaut Mamoru Mohri, and installations at art facilities. In 2017, he received the French Order of Arts and Letters (Officier). He is currently a true leader in the electronic music world, traveling the globe with projects that carry on the legacy of Tony Allen.
Hajime Tachibana
Born in Tokyo in 1951. Musician / Graphic Designer / Video Artist. In 1975, he formed Plastics with Toshio Nakanishi and others. In 1979, they released the single "Copy / Robot" from the British indie label Rough Trade Records. The following year, in 1980, they made their Japan debut with the album "WELCOME PLASTICS," playing a part in the technopop boom. Since his solo debut in '82, he has continued to be active in various bands/units, designed many artists' record jackets and music videos, and received the ADC Award's highest prize in 1991, continuing his multifaceted career.
Reiko Yuyama
Born in Tokyo in 1960.
