JR East View Tourism & Sales Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Sumida-ku, Tokyo; President: Hiroyuki Sawada) is now selling the "Full Speed Ahead to JR East's Core Training Center for People Development!! Part 2" tour. This special tour, departing on Saturday, May 30, 2026, is part of the "Shiawase no Kaze Fukushima" Destination Campaign, held from April to June 2026. Participants will have the unique opportunity to visit JR East's Comprehensive Training Center, an area usually accessible only to JR East employees, and receive lectures from active instructors. JR East Comprehensive Training Center 1. Outline of the Travel Product (1) Tour Introduction ## ① * Special Photography Session of Training Vehicles ~ Training Center Training Vehicle * Participants will have approximately 90 minutes of outdoor photography targeting vehicles placed on the training track. They can freely photograph the exterior, side, and surroundings of the training machine, which is shaped like a train and installed at the training center, from designated photographic areas. Please note that this equipment is a training machine used for employee training and is not a railway vehicle in commercial operation. * Training Center Training Vehicle * Vehicle Lecture * Brakes used in vehicle lectures * A lecture on railway vehicle brakes will be held using a 115 series simulator. Railway vehicles are equipped with various functions to stop safely and reliably. In this lecture, participants will learn about the mechanism and types of brakes in a classroom setting and experience actual brake operations in a practical session, deepening their understanding of their safety and mechanisms. ★ Recommended Points ★ * This is a valuable opportunity to photograph training equipment that is normally not open to the public. * On the day of the tour, the vehicles will be displayed outside the depot, allowing close-up photography of the undercarriage and around various machines, which could not be seen before. * A chance to operate the driver's cab of a brake valve handle, which is becoming increasingly rare! Through lectures specialized in brakes, learn about the methods for ensuring safety during routine station stops and emergency stops performed by drivers and onboard equipment in case of abnormalities. ## ② * Limited to 6 participants for both morning and afternoon sessions! * Special Photography Session of Training Vehicles ~ Training Center Training Vehicle * E5 Series and E2 Series Shinkansen Simulator Operation (Practical Training) * Shinkansen Simulator Experience * Participants will experience a simulator that only Shinkansen crew members can operate within JR East, and learn about Shinkansen safety. * In addition to experiencing normal driving with the E5 series and E2 series, participants can also try the following coupling operations if desired: (coupling operation of two E4 series trains, coupling operation of E3 series + E4 series at Fukushima Station, coupling operation of E6 series + E5 series at Morioka Station). ★ Recommended Points ★ * This is a valuable opportunity to photograph training equipment that is normally not open to the public. * On the day of the tour, the vehicles will be displayed outside the depot, allowing close-up photography of the undercarriage and around various machines, which could not be seen before. * Experience operating a Shinkansen in a simulator. The simulator body actually moves in response to brake operations and other actions. * This simulator is occasionally featured on TV broadcasts, but there is no other opportunity for non-staff to operate it other than through this program.
