National Local Heartra-chan Makes its First Appearance at the National Red Cross Convention

The Japanese Red Cross Society unveiled the National Local Heartra-chan at their national convention on May 12. This initiative features 47 distinct versions of their official mascot, Heartra-chan, each customized with regional specialties and costumes representing every prefecture in Japan. Created to commemorate the upcoming 150th anniversary of the Japanese Red Cross Society, the designs were based on ideas from local staff. The new mascots will be used in regional PR activities, novelty goods, and events to make the Red Cross more accessible to the public.
