JR East Cross Station Foods Company (Location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Company President: Hirofumi Nakamata), which operates "Onigiri-dokoro Hono-ri-ya," will use Aomori Prefecture's brand rice "Harewatari" for all onigiri sold at three limited stores during the campaign period.

"Harewatari" is a brand rice developed by Aomori Prefecture over many years, characterized by its strong stickiness, chewy and smooth texture, and plump, gentle sweetness. It is also highly regarded as rice suitable for onigiri and bento boxes because its texture is not easily lost even when cold.

At Hono-ri-ya, this "Harewatari" will be cooked in-store, and each onigiri will be carefully hand-formed, offering onigiri that allows customers to experience the original deliciousness of the rice even more.

Hono-ri-ya Official X

"Onigiri-dokoro" is a rice ball shop developed within JR East station premises. The first store, "Hono-ri-ya Tokyo Main Store," opened inside the Yaesu Central Ticket Gate of Tokyo Station in March 2002, and it has since expanded mainly in the Tokyo metropolitan area. We continue to offer carefully crafted onigiri, valuing three commitments: "in-store cooking," "handmade," and "Aizu-grown Koshihikari rice."
