An exhibition of excellent works from the "JQA World Children's Drawing Contest on Global Environment," organized by the Japan Quality Assurance Organization (JQA) (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Hiroaki Ishii; hereinafter referred to as JQA) and the International Certification Network (IQNET) (Geneva, Switzerland; hereinafter referred to as IQNET), will be held at the "Gunma Kodomo no Kuni Jidokan" from July 9 (Thu), 2026, to August 23 (Sun).
Exhibition Highlights
Forty excellent works from the 23rd contest will be displayed in the second-floor gallery. The works, drawn by children from around the world with earnest thoughts after closely observing nature and living creatures, are all captivating. Furthermore, each piece of artwork shines with individuality in terms of country, region, age, and expression method.
The venue, Gunma Kodomo no Kuni Jidokan (Ota City, Gunma Prefecture), is an experiential facility where children can learn through play and activities. It fosters creativity and curiosity through a variety of activities such as science exhibits, craft workshops, and play equipment. With ample indoor and outdoor play areas, it is a facility that allows for both learning and play, and is cherished by the local community.

What is the "JQA World Children's Drawing Contest on Global Environment"?
The "JQA World Children's Drawing Contest on Global Environment" has been held annually since 1999 with the aim of providing children with opportunities to think about environmental issues through drawing. It is held with the support of the UNICEF Tokyo Office (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter referred to as JICA) (※).
Exhibitions of excellent works are also held at museums and other venues nationwide, conveying the children's messages about the global environment to many people.
※ JICA's support began with the 25th contest.

【Japan Quality Assurance Organization (JQA)】
Since its establishment in 1957, JQA has been a fair and neutral third-party conformity assessment organization supporting the development of Japan's manufacturing and service industries. It is currently the leading certification body in Japan in terms of the total number of management system standard audits, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 (※). It is also a calibration body that provides calibration of measuring instruments in the largest range of fields in Japan, supplying national measurement standards to industry. Furthermore, as a designated body for domestic and international laws and regulations and certification systems, it provides a wide range of services, including electrical safety certification and testing for electrical products, medical devices, and automotive equipment, JIS mark certification, testing and inspection of construction materials, and auditing and evaluation of corporate activities aimed at achieving goals such as carbon neutrality.
