Japan Energy General System Announces Contract Agreement with SAWADA Inc. for Grid-Scale Battery Storage Installation

Japan Energy General System Inc. (Headquarters: Takamatsu, Kagawa; CEO: Seiji Kurobuchi; hereafter 'JPN') announces that it has concluded a grid-scale battery storage installation contract with SAWADA Inc. (Headquarters: Fukuyama, Hiroshima; CEO: Hiroki Sawada; hereafter 'SAWADA'). The newly established grid-scale battery storage plant aims for grid connection in October 2026, with aggregation for this system to be handled by JPN group company, RE100 Electric Power Inc. The new storage plant established through this agreement will contribute to the stabilization of domestic energy supply and facilitate the spread and expansion of renewable energy electricity. SAWADA has been developing renewable energy businesses centered on solar power generation nationwide, advancing initiatives towards achieving carbon neutrality. Concurrently, it focuses on the carbon offset business, contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.
