Japan Energy Comprehensive System Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture, Representative Director: Seiji Kurobuchi, hereinafter 'JPN') announces that it has concluded a grid-scale battery energy storage system installation contract with Yoko Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ikoma City, Nara Prefecture, Representative Director: Tsuyoshi Matsumoto, hereinafter 'Yoko').

The newly established grid-scale battery energy storage station aims for grid connection in November 2026, and the aggregation of this system will be undertaken by RE100 Power Co., Ltd. of the JPN Group. The battery storage station newly established through this agreement will contribute to the stabilization of energy supply in Japan and to the popularization and expansion of renewable energy power.

Yoko has been actively promoting renewable energy-related businesses to realize a sustainable decarbonized society, developing solar power generation and carbon offset businesses nationwide. Aiming for further expansion of renewable energy introduction, they will proceed with the introduction of grid-scale battery energy storage businesses nationwide.

JPN will continue to contribute to the expansion of renewable energy introduction and the realization of a sustainable society through operations using the relevant energy storage equipment.
