This lecture will explain the latest trends surrounding biomass and biofuels, viewing them through the lens of the carbon divergence era.

First, it will explain changes in the external environment in light of energy security and long-term demand trends, and then provide an overview of new developments in the supply of bioethanol, SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel), and biomass fuels. Following this, it will introduce trends in domestic and international supply chains for each field, including developments in environmental value creation.

Furthermore, considering carbon stock is essential for biomass utilization and is believed to enhance its value. Therefore, the lecture will explain points to note regarding carbon credits and global discussions, contributing to future considerations by stakeholders.
