JP Home Supply Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Nippon Paper Papyrus Co., Ltd., specializing in the sale of household paper and sanitary products (Headquarters: Chuo City, Tokyo; President: Kenzo Matsuura, hereinafter JP Home Supply), will begin taking orders for its new product, "JP One-Touch No-Core," a 100% recycled toilet paper, through the consumer cooperative's home delivery service "Pal System" starting in late April 2026.

The packaging is made of paper and can be reused! New product "JP One-Touch No-Core 260m x 2"

While toilet paper itself cannot be reused, we have ingeniously designed the outer bag to be reusable!

JP Home Supply was established in 1985 and celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2025. "JP One-Touch No-Core" was first released in 1997 and has long been loved as a 100% recycled, coreless toilet paper.

A major feature of the new product being launched is that the outer bag of the toilet paper, which cannot be reused, has been made reusable. The outer bag, made of water-repellent paper, can be utilized for purposes such as a kitchen drain bag after the contents are removed. Furthermore, by not using plastic for the outer packaging, we are being environmentally conscious.

The Originator of Coreless Toilet Paper Was "JP No-Core"!

In commemoration of our 40th anniversary, by delving into past documents and compiling oral traditions, we uncovered a surprising fact about the "JP No-Core" series of coreless toilet paper. In 1973, the tissue division of our parent company, Nippon Paper Papyrus Co., Ltd., was primarily engaged in selling novelty tissues. However, they were struggling significantly with sales and realized that they had to develop an original product to improve the situation!

One day, beside a staff member deep in thought, there was toilet paper... By winding it around a pencil and then unwinding it to remove only the pencil, a handmade "coreless toilet paper" was completed. This is what is passed down within our company as the origin of JP No-Core. However, thereafter, the patent application process became complex involving paper manufacturers and processing companies, and the opportunity to make this "JP No-Core, Coreless Toilet Paper Origin Theory" public was lost. Its origin is chronicled on our company's blog!
