The Japan Foundation (JF) will co-host the second iteration of the highly acclaimed music showcase and conference 'CUEW Showcase & Conference', which gained popularity in August 2025, on an expanded scale with the CUEW Executive Committee.
'CUEW' has the concept of 'creating new triggers between Japan and the world'. It globally transmits the talents of artists from Japan, Asia, and around the world, while simultaneously creating a space for exchange where music professionals from home and abroad can gather, learn, and intersect.
In the first event, 8 music industry professionals active in global music festivals were invited to inspect the showcase performances of 16 artists. As a result, Sakura Fujiwara performed at the 'She Arts Festival' in Egypt, and soraya held solo concerts in Taiwan and Hong Kong.
In June of this year, NIKO NIKO TAN TAN and HUGEN will perform at 'Rising' in Australia, and several overseas performances and international booking projects are currently underway, continuously creating opportunities to connect Japanese artists with the world through CUEW.
For this second edition, the number of invited music industry professionals will be significantly increased to 26 from 13 countries. Furthermore, through collaboration with the urban music festival 'SYNCHRONICITY'26' held on Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12, opportunities will be created to inspect the performing artists of the festival, supporting the overseas expansion of Japanese artists.
Also, in the conference held on Thursday, April 9 and Friday, April 10, an exchange program aimed at business matching and networking will be held, including sessions sharing the latest international trends and practical knowledge by music industry professionals from around the world. As a place where music, business, and international exchange intersect multidimensionally, it will create valuable opportunities for Japanese music industry professionals.
