Louis Vuitton: The Savoir-Faire of Léa Seydoux's Dress at the 79th Cannes Film Festival Premiere of 'Gentle Monster'

Léa Seydoux attended the premiere of 'Gentle Monster' at the 79th Cannes Film Festival wearing a custom-made Louis Vuitton dress and high jewelry.

Seydoux paired an off-the-shoulder pleated black satin long dress with black satin pumps.

She also wore a white gold and diamond necklace from the Maison's 'Pure V' high jewelry collection, along with a white gold and diamond ring and earrings from the 'Stellar Times' high jewelry collection.

The off-the-shoulder black satin long dress worn by Seydoux was created using a unique technique of molding pleats directly onto a bustier-reinforced torso, achieving stability that supports the entire structure as well as a beautiful silhouette.

Inside all the edges, stiff peach-colored threads are applied, creating a distinctive wavy movement that allows the pleats to spread elegantly. The technique used for this style is called 'truncated cone pleats'.

This dress took over 450 hours to produce, including the research to find the perfect balance between the appropriate pleating technique and the final volume.
