In Spring 2026, a new title will join Louis Vuitton's "Travel Book" series, which features travel-inspired illustrations by artists from around the world. Croatian illustrator Miroslav Sekulic-Struja invites readers on a journey through Berlin, where two figures intersect amidst memory, pain, and healing.
From April 18 to May 17, 2026, at the 4th "Festival du Dessin" in Arles, France, Louis Vuitton will exhibit a selection of original artworks from Miroslav Sekulic-Struja's "Travel Book Berlin," as well as Gabriela Giannandeli's "Travel Book Australia" (2021) and Miles Hyman's "Travel Book Rome" (2018). For more details, please visit the festival's official website.
Louis Vuitton has always elevated travel into art and viewed art as a journey itself. The "Travel Book" series aims to further enrich this dialogue between travel and artistic expression.
The "Travel Book" series is a mirror reflecting contemporary creation, showcasing the depth, breadth, and diversity of many aesthetic and artistic worlds across the globe. Each artist freely chooses their expressive technique, whether drawing, painting, collage, illustration, comics, or scratch cards. Their preferred materials also vary widely, including pastels, oils, watercolors, inks, pencils, and pixels.
The artists' method involves drawing on the spot, either on a computer or freehand, based on memories and photos taken locally. As you turn the pages, you will feel that these works are not objective depictions of a world the artist encountered for the first time, but rather expressions of the emotions they felt at that moment. Each "Travel Book" is a journey into an unknown experience, guided by each artist, looking at the world from an always different perspective.
Starting May 2026, interviews with the artists of the latest titles in this series will be available on the official Louis Vuitton website, Louisvuitton.com.
