Asilla Inc., whose vision is to create a safe and comfortable world through the power of technology, announced that it has signed a business alliance agreement with Kagaya Sangyo Co., Ltd. The two companies will jointly propose the AI security system “AI Security asilla” and disaster stockpiling solutions as a one-stop package, aiming to strengthen facility safety management systems. In recent years, rising natural disaster risks and growing public awareness of safety have increased the need for commercial facilities, office buildings, condominiums and other properties to develop disaster preparedness systems in addition to everyday crime prevention measures. At the same time, labor shortages caused by Japan’s declining birthrate and aging population are spreading to security and facility management sites, making it urgent to build mechanisms that can cover both crime prevention and disaster preparedness with limited personnel. For more than 60 years since its founding, Kagaya Sangyo has provided disaster stockpiling supplies to government agencies, municipalities and major developers, supporting the development of disaster preparedness systems for facilities. Asilla, meanwhile, has supported the advancement of security operations at many facilities through “AI Security asilla,” an AI security system equipped with behavior recognition AI technology. By combining their respective track records in disaster preparedness and crime prevention, the two companies aim to build a framework that consistently supports facility safety management from normal times through emergencies. Under the alliance, Asilla, which has extensive deployment experience in AI security systems, and Kagaya Sangyo, which has a strong record in providing disaster stockpiling supplies to government agencies, municipalities and major developers, will offer integrated safety solutions for facilities covering both crime prevention and disaster preparedness. By combining their strengths, they aim to provide one-stop solutions to safety management challenges faced by facility managers. The partnership includes two main initiatives. First, Kagaya Sangyo will use its sales channels across municipalities, condominium management associations and commercial facilities nationwide to propose Asilla’s “AI Security asilla” together with Kagaya Sangyo’s disaster stockpiling products, including the “Warm Tender Light” emergency blanket, the “Moraine” disaster toilet and AEDs. Second, by using the behavior recognition AI technology of “AI Security asilla,” the system will detect abnormal behavior inside facilities in real time during both normal times and emergencies. In daily operations, it supports security work by enabling early detection of falls, violence and suspicious behavior. During disasters, it can detect abnormal behavior such as falls or crowd stagnation among facility users in real time, while coordination with disaster stockpile deployment plans will support rapid initial response. Kagaya Sangyo manufactures and wholesales disaster stockpiling supplies and provides AED sales and rental services. Its main disaster preparedness solutions include the in-house manufactured “Warm Tender Light” emergency blanket, which is lightweight and compact, allowing large quantities to be stored even in limited stockpile spaces and widely adopted by government agencies, municipalities and condominiums; the “Moraine” disaster-use simple toilet, developed from a women’s perspective with attention to hygiene and ease of use, and increasingly adopted as stockpiled supplies in evacuation centers and facilities; and AED sales and rental services, including post-installation maintenance management to reduce operational burdens for facility managers. “AI Security asilla” is a system in which AI analyzes footage from existing security cameras 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, instantly detecting abnormal behaviors such as violence, falls and intrusion, as well as cautionary behaviors such as wandering, crowding and signs of poor health. As shortages of security personnel become more severe, the system captures anomalies that are easy to miss through human monitoring and immediately notifies security staff and managers. Because it can use existing cameras as they are, it requires no additional equipment investment and serves as a next-generation security solution that helps maintain high levels of safety with limited personnel.
