Rooted in the local Niigata area and each boasting a large readership and fan base, these three magazines have teamed up for the first time in history for this joint feature. The motivation behind this is to convey to people both inside and outside the prefecture that Sado—which has garnered significant attention as a World Heritage island since its registration in 2024—is also, in fact, an "island of gourmet food." The project is infused with the unique perspective of local information magazines and a desire for regional revitalization, encouraging people to travel with the specific goal of enjoying "Sado's gourmet food."
Each magazine features a 10-page spread introducing carefully selected restaurants and new gourmet spots on the island. The restaurants, tourist spots, and recommended experiences covered are entirely different in each publication. By reading all three, you can discover the latest food trends on Sado and identify the restaurants that should be the primary purpose of your trip.
Starting with La Plage, a French restaurant run by Chef Yoshitaka Sudo—who won the top "Red Egg" prize at "RED U-35 2025," one of Japan's largest competitions for discovering young chefs—many chefs captivated by the island's rich ingredients have relocated to Sado to open their own establishments.

Furthermore, other chefs who have fallen in love with the island's abundant ingredients are moving there one after another to open restaurants, truly turning it into an island of gourmet food.
