Launch of "Movement to Create the Future of Manufacturing ~The World Woven by Things and Actions~," a Community to Consider the Future of Manufacturing!
A new community, "Movement to Create the Future of Manufacturing," has been launched to re-examine the purpose of manufacturing beyond mere efficiency and technological competition. It emphasizes the interplay between human will ("actions"), material creation ("things"), and societal impact, aiming to empower individuals to design their own future ways of life and societal structures through collaborative seminars and discussions.

【Background of Launch】
Looking back at the transitions of manufacturing, we can see that it is not merely technological evolution, but the history of "what humans have sought and how society has changed."
In past eras, people aimed for material affluence and built the foundation of society by creating high-quality "things" with world-class technological prowess. In such a social context, manufacturing pursued "functionality and efficiency," but at some point, "how to make it" (technological competition and efficiency itself) became the objective, leading to a loss of sight of the original purpose: "what to make it for."
Today, the era of mere consumption has ended, and a firm philosophy and will of "what we want to achieve" are demanded more than "what will sell." With resource depletion necessitating global sustainability and the rise of technologies like AI, the form of manufacturing is on the verge of significant change. Future "manufacturing" will not only enrich the world materially but also empower each individual to design and implement "new ways of living in society" and "their own ways of life" with their own hands.
This community focuses on "manufacturing" that changes with societal transitions, aiming to discuss with everyone what manufacturing should be and how it will evolve in an uncertain era. Before "manufacturing," "actions" to create "things" always occur. "Actions" are the fundamental human desires of "I want to do this," "It would be good if that happened." "Actions" are born and change with societal transitions. The "thing" (intellectual creation = warp). The "thing" (material creation = weft) to deliver it to society using technology. And, the "society" (free future = fabric) woven from individual "making (Doing)" as a new "way of life (Being)." "Actions" create "things," "things" change "society," and from that, new "actions" are born... How will these three cycles change with society and how will they address challenges?
This is a practical field and community that directly tackles the question of what kind of intentions and axes we should use to think about manufacturing. That is the "Movement to Create the Future of Manufacturing." In this community, we will regularly hold seminars and other opportunities to think together with everyone. Won't you join the "Manufacturing Movement" to design your future way of life with your own hands?
【Community Name】
Movement to Create the Future of Manufacturing ~The World Woven by Things and Actions~
【Community Objectives and Significance】
This community aims to break through the current situation where efficiency and technological competition have become the goal, and to confront the fundamental question of "what to make it for." Its purpose is not merely to aim for a materially abundant world, but to restore the power for each individual to design and implement "ways of living in society" and "new societal structures" with their own hands.
【Activities and Features】
This is not just a study group or networking for exchanging business cards, but a "practical field" for updating society with one's own hands, by combining human philosophy with technology. Through dialogue that transcends industry and position, we explore and verbalize our own "warps" that are difficult to find in daily work. Through the holding of series seminars and continuous community operation, we will create new activities through co-creation.
【Target Participants】
Corporate executives, business development managers, researchers, engineers, creators, students, and anyone interested in the future of manufacturing and social design.
