Reuse volume from January to April 2026 reached 2,200 tons, a 2.5-fold increase over the same period in 2025 (880 tons). As of the end of May 2026, the network has grown to 39 locations in 35 municipalities, more than doubling from the same time last year (19 locations in 15 municipalities).

Incinerating or landfilling these items places a massive burden on the environment through CO2 emissions, necessitating an urgent shift from 'disposal' to 'reuse.'

According to the latest survey results announced by the Ministry of the Environment (March 27, 2026), tax expenditures for waste incineration total approximately 2.44 trillion yen annually, with a per-capita processing cost of 19,700 yen.

The company plans to expand Jimoty Spot to 329 locations by 2030, expecting an annual reduction of approximately 84,000 tons of waste, equivalent to roughly 6% of the total bulky and clothing waste in Japan.
