Jimoty Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Jimoty) will open the "Jimoty Spot Toyonaka Hattori Tenjin Store" on April 17, 2026, based on the reuse agreement concluded with Toyonaka City, Osaka Prefecture (hereinafter referred to as Toyonaka City) in January 2023. The Jimoty Spot Toyonaka Hattori Tenjin Store will be the first store in Toyonaka City for our company's public-private partnership reuse hub.

About Jimoty Spot

Jimoty Spot is a service that allows people to exchange "things that are still usable but no longer needed" within their local community. Those who wish to give away unwanted items can simply bring them to the store without reservation, connecting them to the next person who needs them. Those who wish to receive items can check product information on the local information site "Jimoty," view the actual items at the store, and then purchase or pick them up. We widely reuse items that are often discarded due to low resale value, such as those not bought by recycling shops or furniture that incurs high shipping costs, but are still usable.

【3 Benefits for Citizens and Municipalities】

- No reservation required, zero commission, reducing the effort and cost of disposing of items as bulky waste.

- You can obtain reusable items at affordable prices or for "free."

(e.g., a rice cooker for 300 yen, a chair for 0 yen, etc.)

- Suppresses waste generation, effectively promoting waste reduction and resource circulation within the region.

Greetings Upon Store Opening

【Operator: Nihon Fukushi Service Co., Ltd.】 Representative Director, Takeshi Shirasaki

We are pleased to announce the establishment of Jimoty Spot in Toyonaka. Our company has been developing nursing home businesses in the Kansai region, operating approximately 10 facilities primarily in the Hokusetu area of Osaka. I myself have been involved in the field of elderly welfare for many years, and including my experience before establishing the company, I have been engaged in this industry for about 23 years.

This time, we deeply empathize with the highly socially significant business model of Jimoty Spot, developed by Jimoty Inc., and have decided to launch this initiative with the desire to expand its value in the Kansai region.

The elderly welfare industry currently faces many challenges, but we believe that through the new approach of Jimoty Spot, we can create new solutions and synergistic effects for these challenges.

We will strive to provide value as a new community-based social resource in Toyonaka, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding and support.

Waste Reduction Achievements and Future Outlook Nationwide

Jimoty has agreements regarding reuse with 295 municipalities nationwide, and operates Jimoty Spots in 34 of these. In 2025, a cumulative total of approximately 1.4 million items were reused across all locations nationwide, resulting in an estimated waste reduction effect of about 4,300 tons (*1). We plan to expand Jimoty Spots to 329 stores by 2030. This is expected to reduce waste by approximately 84,000 tons annually (254 tons per store per year) (*2), which is equivalent to about 6% of the total bulky waste and clothing waste discharged nationwide.

Jimoty Spot will continue to strengthen collaboration with municipalities and local businesses, and by establishing hubs where anyone can easily engage in reuse, we aim to make the act of "giving away" as simple a choice as "throwing away." We will develop reuse as a standard social infrastructure, making community life richer and more sustainable.
