Makuhari Baypark Rise Gate Tower
Jun Mitsui & Associates Architects Inc. and Pelli Clarke & Partners Japan Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter JMA/PC&PJ)* announce the completion of "Makuhari Baypark Rise Gate Tower," the fifth tower residence for which they provided design supervision, in the large-scale redevelopment "Makuhari Baypark" in Makuhari New City, in February 2026. For this project, with its location near the Hanamigawa River and green belts, the delicate scenery created by nature has been incorporated into the architecture. Based on the concept of "Shimmering," the design reflects the sparkle of the water's surface and the swaying of trees on the exterior, creating a facade whose expression changes with light and perspective through variations in the texture and composition of glass and tiles. Furthermore, greenery is integrated into the lower levels, creating a space that connects with the landscape and forms a living environment that resonates with the vibrancy of the city.
