The 13th East Asian Championships were held in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, from April 25 (Saturday) to 26 (Sunday).
A total of 240 athletes from 7 countries and regions in East Asia participated. Individual and team events were conducted across various age categories: Cadet (14-15 years old), Junior (16-17 years old), Under 21 (18-20 years old), and Senior (Kata 16 years old and above, Kumite 18 years old and above).
In this tournament, where each country could enter up to two participants per event, Japan had a combined total of 67 entries across Cadet, Junior, and Senior categories, securing 38 gold, 19 silver, and 9 bronze medals, totaling 66 medals. This placed Japan at the top of the medal ranking by participating country.
