Japan Import System Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo / President & CEO: Katsuhiko Tanaka) will begin nationwide distribution to liquor retailers on June 18, 2026, of 'Benromach 2003 Small Batch Edition #1', a limited release from Benromach Distillery in Speyside, Scotland.

'BENROMACH 2003 SMALL BATCH EDITION #1' marks the first release in a new limited series defined by small-batch production. This special bottling combines carefully selected first-fill bourbon and sherry casks, matured for over 22 years, and is released in limited quantities.

The whisky beautifully balances vanilla and fruity sweetness from bourbon casks with rich fruit aromas from sherry casks. A delicate smoke—characteristic of Benromach—elegantly ties the profile together, creating a complex and layered tasting experience.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich aromas of raspberry, strawberry, and cranberry. Notes of dry ginger and dark chocolate transition into bold orange marmalade, followed by crisp green apple and a hint of sweet smoke.

Palate: Smooth and sweet, with flavors of stewed apple and rich Seville orange. Charred oak expands on the palate, evolving into a luscious note reminiscent of strawberry licorice.

Finish: Medium-bodied, with a long, fruity finish accented by walnut and a subtle smokiness.
