Valdespino, a historic Spanish sherry bodega that even supplies casks to The Macallan, has made its mark. Its Export Director and Global Brand Ambassador, Ignacio, recently visited Japan. At the offices of Japan Import System Co., Ltd. (Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Katsuhiko Tanaka), he engaged in a dialogue with Yoshiko Akehi, Japan Representative of the Sherry Committee, to discuss the history, philosophy, and vision for the Japanese market. This was a valuable opportunity to clarify the essence and future of sherry through the intersection of perspectives from a traditional producer and a leading expert in Japan. To commemorate the visit, reservations have opened for two special sherries: 'Toneles Moscatel' and 'Contrabandista'.
