From "Lightness" to "Comfort" that Accompanies Daily Life: Three Evolutions of "Airframe Slim"

"Airframe," which has undergone repeated updates in pursuit of lightness. The renewed "Airframe Slim" does not stop at simply pursuing "lightness"; it aims to be eyewear that better accompanies customers' daily lives, evolving in both comfort and design.

Focusing on the tendency for weight to shift towards the front when prescription lenses are inserted, JINS has adopted a high-specific-gravity rare metal, "tungsten," at the temple ends. By intentionally designing the center of gravity towards the rear, it reduces the forward bias that causes the front to tilt when lenses are inserted, achieving a balanced and comfortable fit. Furthermore, the part that rests on the ears has been updated to a new specification that does not use rubber material. By eliminating the transition between different materials, a seamless and refined design has also been achieved. Additionally, for the first time in eyewear, "Rilsan® Clear G140 Rnew® A," a lightweight, highly flexible, and heat-adjustable material, has been adopted for the front and temples. With more areas than conventional models that can be adjusted with heat (heater), it allows for more detailed fitting tailored to each customer's skeletal structure, enabling a level of customization previously unattainable.

It is a metal characterized by its hardness second only to diamond and its high specific gravity, approximately 2.5 times that of iron. By adopting it as a component in eyeglasses, it disperses the weight on the front when lenses are inserted, without compromising design aesthetics with a minimalist appearance, and serves to achieve an optimal center of gravity balance.
