For the 6th Internet Media Awards, we received 186 entries, including both public submissions and recommendations from committee members, covering content and activities published or highlighted during 2025 (January 1 to December 31, 2025). The winners were determined following a primary selection process via voting by JIMA members and a final selection through discussions by a panel of experts and specialists.
Awards were presented in six categories: 'Investigative Journalism,' 'Visual & Audio Content,' 'Data Insights,' 'Social Action,' 'Sponsored Content,' and the 'Selection Committee Special Award,' which was added following committee deliberations, totaling 7 winning works and activities.
Furthermore, the 'Grand Prix' was awarded to '3D Tells the Story: The Large-Scale Fire in Saganoseki, Oita' by the Photo Department and Data Investigative Journalism Department of Kyodo News.
Additionally, the 'U30’s VIEW' award, which recognizes outstanding online content selected by two committee members under the age of 30 based on their own sensibilities and unique perspectives, honored 3 works.
