JICN Invests in Surgical AI Startup Anaut to Promote Decarbonization in Healthcare

Japan Green Investment Corp. for Carbon Neutrality (JICN) has announced its investment in Anaut Inc., a medical AI developer. Anaut's flagship product, 'EUREKA α,' uses real-time AI analysis of endoscopic footage to highlight critical anatomical structures such as nerves and vessels, reducing surgical errors and duration. This investment aims to decarbonize the healthcare sector, which accounts for 4-5% of global greenhouse gas emissions. By shortening surgeries, the technology effectively reduces anesthetic gas usage, hospital energy consumption for ventilation, and medical waste. JICN intends to monitor the carbon reduction progress while supporting Anaut's future efforts in regulatory expansion and international growth.
