The Japan Good Builder Association (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Ryo Tajima; hereinafter 'JGBA') held the event titled 'Building a Company That Grows Sales Without the President Doing Sales: Practical Seminar on Sales Systematization for Construction Firms' on Thursday, June 11, 2026, both in-person and online. A total of 23 participants attended, including 7 in-person and 16 online attendees.

This session featured Akira Dekuchi from Kakutoku Inc., operator of Japan’s largest professional sales database, who shared practical know-how on breaking the industry’s overreliance on star performers or the president’s personal sales ability. He introduced strategies for sales systematization and effective utilization of external professional sales talent to achieve sustainable growth in the housing and construction sector.

At the beginning of the seminar, Dekuchi highlighted a common industry pitfall: outsourcing sales to general agencies lacking expertise in architecture or housing often leads to failure due to poor results. As a solution, he presented Kakutoku’s approach—leveraging its database of over 15,000 specialized sales professionals—to build sales systems tailored specifically for the housing industry. By deploying professionals who deeply understand the unique processes of residential construction, companies can avoid outsourcing failures and build stable, scalable sales organizations that grow revenue without requiring the president to be on the front lines.

Participants responded positively, with feedback such as: 'The point about consultants building internal trust through self-disclosure was a great personal insight,' and 'The benefits of sales outsourcing and external sales were very clearly explained, and I now recognize there is strong industry demand for this.'
