■ Goals of This Pilot Experiment
Nagatoro Town is one of Saitama Prefecture's leading tourist destinations, attracting approximately 3 million visitors annually. In recent years, the number of foreign tourists has also increased, leading to a variety of inquiries at the town hall counter not only from residents but also from domestic and international tourists.
On the other hand, the town has traditionally lacked a general information counter, and improving the efficiency of visitor services and providing multilingual support have been long-standing challenges.
In this pilot experiment, by positioning the beloved local character "Toronyan" as the "face" of the AI, we aim to realize a "counter where anyone can easily speak." It will provide a wide range of information, from administrative procedures to tourist information, in 15 languages.
