The Uenohara Sunrise men's team secured their qualification by finishing first in the 2026 inaugural season of the domestic 3x3 professional league 'RBL (Royal Basketball League).' This achievement grants them access to one of the few FIBA-sanctioned international platforms in Japan that lead to the global stage.

About the 'FIBA 3x3 Uenohara Challenger 2026'

This tournament is an international 3x3 basketball event officially sanctioned by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). It will be held over two days, on August 8 and 9, 2026, in Uenohara City, Yamanashi Prefecture—the hometown of the team (Uenohara City Hall).

Five teams, selected from the 12 teams competing in the regular season of the domestic 3x3 professional league 'RBL,' will participate. The top-performing teams will aim to qualify for the FIBA 3x3 World Tour 'Debrecen Masters.' The games will be broadcast globally as an official FIBA event, providing a valuable opportunity to connect the local community of Uenohara to the world.
