YUGEN Gallery FUKUOKA (Stage 1 Nishidori 4F, 2-1-4 Daimyo, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture) will hold a group exhibition starting Saturday, April 25, 2026.
This exhibition will feature four artists: Moe Amano, KAKA, Shunsuke Saiki, and Shoji Mochida. Artists active in different fields will express everyday sensations, memories, and playfulness in their own unique ways.
The exhibition is centered around familiar yet slightly mysterious motifs that subtly transform everyday life, such as Amano's three-dimensional and two-dimensional works evoking an atmosphere like an extension of daily life, KAKA's adorable mushroom wood carvings, Saiki's paintings reminiscent of digital worlds and game culture, and Mochida's pottery.
The works naturally reflect each artist's perspective based on their individual sensations and experiences. Even when viewing the world in the same era, the images, expressions, and viewpoints that emerge differ slightly from artist to artist. By encountering these differences, we are suddenly made aware of how we usually perceive things.
At first glance, the works appear light and charming, yet one feels a sense of 'something is a little off, but in a good way.' Within that feeling, differences and expansions in perception gently emerge.
Please experience this exhibition in person, where different perspectives gently intersect and diverse interpretations coexist within an exhibition space that blends two-dimensional and three-dimensional works.
