【A Glimpse into the Video Content!】 -- "VIVANT" has many highlights, such as its deceptive plot twists and grand scale. What do you consider the most compelling aspects, Hanawa-san?

Hanawa: Many people enjoy infiltration and spy stories, but the scale here is overwhelmingly large, and the feeling of "how much of this is infiltration?" continues throughout, which is fascinating. Also, the deep themes of parental love and master-disciple bonds are not just emotionally moving; there are still unresolved aspects. And of course, it's completely unclear who is an ally and who is an enemy. I think it's a drama where you can empathize with any character from any angle.

-- The protagonist Nogi Yūsuke, played by Masato Sakai, has an alter ego "F" who remains a mystery, doesn't he?

Hanawa: Yes. We still don't know what "F" actually is. I believe Nogi Yūsuke created this other personality to motivate himself as a war orphan and to have dialogues, but that's not clearly defined. Moreover, there's the question of whether "F" is a skill or a genetic trait... In the final episode of Season 1, as Nogoon Bekki (Kōji Yakusho) was suffering with a "Ugh" sound before Yūsuke shot him, I wonder if Bekki also has another personality?

-- Is Nozaki Mamoru, played by Hiroshi Abe, an enemy or an ally?

Hanawa: Nozaki is from Public Security, and I believe he's an ally because Nogi Yūsuke wouldn't have survived without him. In the first episode, Nogi Yūsuke calls CIA agent Sam, and there was a Lupin the Third figure in Sam's room. I thought that figure might be hinting at something. That is, the characters could be mapped to Zenigata Heiji, Lupin, Goemon, Jigen, and Fujiko. If that's the case, then Nozaki isn't a bad guy, but rather in a Zenigata Heiji-like position (laughs). Ah, Inspector Zenigata! I kept saying Zenigata Heiji (laughs).

-- Next, regarding the survival of Nogoon Bekki, played by Kōji Yakusho?

Hanawa: He is definitely alive. Yes. First of all, the vital points were avoided. Nogi Yūsuke also avoided vital points when he shot the four members of the "Bebba" unit. They later say, "Three charred bodies were found after the house burned down," but it wasn't depicted whether those were actually the bodies of those three people, so Bekki is definitely alive, and the other three are also definitely alive...
