The first book to read when you think "I want to write a novel"
I want to write a novel. Even while thinking that, I don't know where to start. Even if I start writing, I stop midway, and only unfinished manuscripts pile up. 'The Novel Writing Guidebook You Want to Read First' is the book for those struggling with such problems to read first.
The author, Ms. Mio Nukaga, debuted by winning both the Matsumoto Seicho Prize and the Shogakukan Bunko Novel Prize. While writing novels, she has produced Matsumoto Seicho Prize winners from the novel writing courses she teaches at universities. Her popular online course "Dear Sir/Madam, Why Not Write a Novel?", which forms the basis of this book, has also produced active authors and literature prize finalists.
She is not only a professional novelist but also a professional at teaching how to write novels.
This book verbalizes what novelists do unconsciously and is structured so that you can learn from the basics. It explains in an easy-to-understand manner the writing techniques necessary for writing a novel, how to create a plot to think about the story, and how to make the reader experience the story by being conscious of person and perspective.
