Sae Hatakeyama wins the Women's Championship again after the previous day.

The 2026 JBMXF Daito Kentaku Series Round 3 Tokyo event was held at Shonan SPEEDWAY in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture, the same venue as the previous day's Round 2 Chiba event. In the Championship category, Tsubasa Kiuchi and Sae Hatakeyama again stood at the top, just like the previous day.

Men's Championship

Tsubasa Kiuchi achieves two consecutive wins in Men's Championship.

For the JBMXF Daito Kentaku Series Round 2, due to strong winds, the qualifying rounds, usually three runs, were reduced to two. In the Men's Championship, Tsubasa Kiuchi (BMX Sarrians), who won the previous day, finished first in both qualifying runs. In the final, he took the lead from the start and maintained it throughout the race to the finish line, achieving his second consecutive win from the previous Chiba event. Takumi Fukagawa (Yowamushi Pedal Cycling Team) finished second, followed by Gakuru Oshida (Chichibu BMX Association) in third.

Gakuru Oshida (#220), promoted to the Championship this season, took third place.

Comment from Men's Championship Winner Tsubasa Kiuchi:

"It was a difficult condition with strong winds from the morning, but I was able to maintain good form from practice through to the final. By qualifying first and choosing the inside lane, I could see the riders on the outside line at the start, but I calmly took the lead around the first corner. After that, I managed the sections well and held onto the lead. I aim to win the Japan Cup in Nagoya in two weeks with this momentum."

Women's Championship

Sae Hatakeyama achieves two consecutive wins with an overwhelming performance.

The Women's Championship, contested over the total of three races just like the previous day's Chiba event. Sae Hatakeyama (Kanagawa Prefecture BMX Association) started strong with a top finish in the first race, then showed overwhelming performances in the second and third races to secure two consecutive wins. Nagisa Nomura (Kansai BMX Federation) took second place, and Jui Yabuta (Kansai BMX Federation) finished third.

Comment from Women's Championship Winner Sae Hatakeyama:

"Since I took first place from the first run, I was able to race calmly, unlike yesterday. Usually, I jump and clear the second straight, but today the wind was strong, so I tried to keep the bike as low as possible, rolling or flying low and fast. In the third run, I started from the outside lane, but I managed to take the lead in the first corner, and from there, I rode carefully to win. My current weakness is the start gate, so I want to improve on that for the next race."

Highlighting Challenge Category Races:

A big appeal of BMX racing is that you can start competing from the age of 5. The age-group Challenge categories feature heated battles, from youth riders aiming to become future top athletes to adult riders enjoying BMX racing as a lifelong sport.

What is BMX Racing?

BMX is a sport said to have originated in the 1970s in America when children imitated motorcycle motocross. It spread worldwide with dynamic racing where up to 8 riders start simultaneously on a 300-450m course and compete for finishing order. Its free competitive nature also gave birth to a derivative sport called Freestyle. BMX Rac
