Applications for Island Trip Cruises are Now Open!

The JB Honshi Kousoku Group will once again hold the 5th "Setouchi Shimatabi Festival 2026 ~Connecting Islands and Learning to the Future~" centered at Yoshima PA, where visitors can encounter the islands of Setouchi and connect their learning to the future.

The "Island Trip Cruise," which operates in conjunction with the festival, is a special cruise where you can actually visit the islands of the Seto Inland Sea and enjoy learning, experiences, and interaction.

Starting today, we have begun accepting applications for the Kitagishima (Kasaoka City, Okayama Prefecture) cruise and the Ushijima (Marugame City, Kagawa Prefecture) cruise, both departing from Yoshima Port on May 23 (Saturday).

On the Kitagishima cruise, participants will visit unique spots such as observation decks and the former "Hikari Gekijo" movie theater while experiencing the island's quarrying history and culture.

The Ushijima cruise offers an environmental conservation program where parents and children can learn about environmental issues in a fun way through activities like beach cleaning.

1. Date and Time: Saturday, May 23, 2026, 9:45 AM – 4:15 PM (Meet at 9:15 AM)

2. Itinerary: Meet in front of the special reception desk at Yoshima PA 2nd Parking Lot

～Travel to Kitagishima via chartered boat～

→ Guided tour and lunch on Kitagishima

→ Arrival and dismissal in front of the special reception desk at Yoshima PA 2nd Parking Lot

*A tour guide will not accompany the group, but the event organizers will be present.

3. Eligibility: Elementary school students and older

*Elementary and junior high school students must be accompanied by a guardian.

4. Capacity: 40 people (first-come, first-served)

*Minimum number of participants: 1

*Registration may close even if the capacity is not reached.

5. Participation Fee: 5,000 yen for adults, same for children (tax included)

*The travel fee includes facility admission, observation fees on Kitagishima, lunch, and the round-trip chartered boat between the departure point and Kitagishima.

*The departure and arrival point is a parking area on a toll road. The travel fee does not include transportation costs to the meeting location.
