Now Accepting Applications for Island Trip Cruises!

The JB Honshi-Shikoku Expressway Group is pleased to announce the 5th annual "Setouchi Island Trip Fest 2026: Connecting with Islands and Learning for the Future," which will once again be held centered around the Yoshima Parking Area.

The "Island Trip Cruise," operating in conjunction with the festival, is a special cruise where you can actually visit the islands of the Seto Inland Sea to enjoy learning, new experiences, and cultural exchange.

Starting today, we are accepting applications for the Kitagi Island (Kasaoka City, Okayama Prefecture) cruise and the Ushijima (Marugame City, Kagawa Prefecture) cruise, both departing from Yoshima Port on Saturday, May 23rd.

On the Kitagi Island cruise, you will tour unique spots on the island, such as an observatory and the former movie theater "Hikari Gekijo," while experiencing the history of quarrying and the island's culture.

The Ushijima cruise offers an environmental conservation program for parents and children to participate in together, learning about environmental issues through fun activities like cleaning up marine debris.

1. Date and Time: Saturday, May 23, 2026, 9:45 AM - 4:15 PM (Meet at 9:15 AM)

2. Itinerary: Meet in front of the special reception at the Yoshima PA 2nd Parking Area

~Travel to Kitagi Island by chartered boat~

→ Guided tour of Kitagi Island and lunch on the island

→ Arrive and dismiss in front of the special reception at the Yoshima PA 2nd Parking Area

*A tour conductor will not accompany you, but the event planner will be present.

3. Eligibility: Elementary school students and older

*Elementary and junior high school students must be accompanied by a guardian.

4. Capacity: 40 people (first-come, first-served)

*Minimum number of participants: 1 person

*Registration may close even if capacity is not reached.

5. Participation Fee: Adults 5,000 yen, Children same price (tax included)

*The travel fee includes admission and viewing fees for facilities on Kitagi Island, lunch, and the round-trip chartered boat fare between the departure point and Kitagi Island.

*The departure and arrival point is a parking area on a toll road. The travel fee does not include transportation costs to the meeting place.
