About the JC Cup
The "JC Cup" is a soccer tournament co-hosted by Japan JC and Meishukai. Through soccer, the most popular sport internationally, the tournament aims to foster the "spirit of a good loser" (a strong and positive spirit that allows one to praise opponents even in defeat) in the next generation of boys and girls, and to support their growth. The first tournament was held in 2015 with the special sponsorship of Miroku Information Service Co., Ltd. (President and Representative Director: Shuki Koreeda, Location: 4-29-1 Yotsuya, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo), and this year marks the 12th event.
Starting with the 9th tournament in 2023, the "JC Cup Asia Pacific Tournament," and from the 11th tournament in 2025, the "JC Cup International Tournament," overseas teams have been invited (in 2025, 8 teams from 8 overseas countries, including Paris Saint-Germain from France and Rayo Vallecano from Spain, will be invited), providing opportunities for the spread of the "spirit of a good loser" beyond borders and for international exchange among children.
For the 12th JC Cup in fiscal year 2026, Mr. Junichi Paulo Tanaka (affiliated with Tochigi City) is serving as the tournament ambassador to convey the spirit of a good loser to more children.
