JCI Japan to Host 'Global Kids Collective Project' for Elementary Students and Parents

The International Group of JCI Japan (President: Hiromasa Kato; Location: VORT Hanzomon 7F, 2-12 Kojimachi, Chiyoda-ku) announced that it will hold the 'Global Kids Collective Project' from August 1 to August 5, 2026. The project aims to foster a global mindset and build a foundation for children to thrive globally by providing hands-on experiences with multiculturalism, local challenges, and advanced fields such as AI and next-generation technology. ■ Global Kids Collective Project This project will take 20 pairs of parents and children (children in grades 4-6) from across Japan to Penang, Malaysia, a region experiencing rapid and sustainable growth. In Penang, participants will visit facilities and companies engaged in advanced fields and participate in exchanges with local schools, allowing them to experience differences from Japan and the progress of technology. Through this project, children will gain real-world learning that cannot be found within Japan, helping them make discoveries related to their future and foster independence. Parents will have the opportunity to see their children grow up close and cultivate a perspective as companions. Furthermore, through international experiences that are difficult to obtain in Japan, parents can deepen their own understanding of overseas cultures and acquire a broader perspective. ■ Dates and Location August 1 (Sat) - August 5 (Wed), 2026 Penang, Malaysia ■ Eligibility Elementary school students (grades 4-6) and their parents. Capacity: 20 pairs (40 people total). ■ Participation Fee 140,000 yen per pair (for 2 people). *The participation fee includes accommodation in Penang, facility fees, and transportation, but does not include airfare from Japan to Penang. ■ Application Period May 17 (Sun) - June 14 (Sun), 2026 We are currently accepting applications from elementary students (grades 4-6) who will shoulder the future of global society, and their parents.
