Most Profitable Investment Assets: 3rd 'Crypto Assets', 2nd 'Stocks', What's 1st?

Jaybe Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture; Representative Director: Takayuki Mizusawa), which operates the crypto asset (virtual currency) news media "JinaCoin" (https://jinacoin.ne.jp/), conducted a survey on investment asset performance among 800 Japanese residents aged 20 and over.

When starting to invest, it's natural to wonder, "Which assets are most people profiting from?" and "Conversely, which assets are more likely to incur losses?"

This survey revealed the reality of the "most profitable assets" and "most loss-making assets" for experienced investors.

Survey Results Summary

• The most profitable investment asset was "investment trusts" at 41.1%, ranking 1st, followed by "stocks" at 38.5%, ranking 2nd.

• The most loss-making investment asset was "stocks" at 35.3%, ranking 1st, followed by "crypto assets (virtual currency)" at 14.5%, ranking 2nd.

• Crypto assets ranked 3rd for profits at 4.6%, but 2nd for losses at 14.5%, a difference of approximately three times.

• Approximately 30% of the total, 29.5%, responded that they had "never incurred losses."

• 40.1% of women responded that they had "never incurred losses."

When 587 experienced investors were asked about their "most profitable investment asset in the past," "investment trusts" ranked 1st with 41.1% (241 people), and "stocks" ranked 2nd with 38.5% (226 people).

Investment trusts and stocks accounted for approximately 80% of the total, showing a significant gap with "crypto assets" (4.6%) and below. This indicates that the majority of investors profiting are in investment trusts and stocks.

By gender, "stocks" ranked 1st for men, while "investment trusts" ranked 1st for women.

While "stocks" (47.5%) ranked 1st for men, "investment trusts" (54.4%) exceeded half and ranked 1st for women, showing a clear difference in the types of assets that generated profits between genders.

Furthermore, the proportion of men who profited from crypto assets was 7.6%, compared to 1.5% for women, indicating that men significantly outperformed women. It can be inferred that men tend to aim for higher returns, while women are steadily profiting from relatively stable investment trusts.
