【Comment】 Since its founding, JASRAC has been an organization that has consistently managed music copyrights and delivered music to everyone amidst changing times.

As a lyricist and regular member of JASRAC, I have previously served as a councilor, auditor, and director. In 2024, with the support of our regular members—the creators and music publishers—I assumed the position of Chairman. JASRAC's mission is to deliver the royalties paid by those who use music to the rights holders, such as creators and music publishers. These royalties allow creators to dedicate themselves to their creative activities.

Japanese music is loved by people around the world, crossing oceans. The government also has high expectations for music culture as an export industry. I ask for your continued support for JASRAC, which plays such a significant role.

About the Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC) JASRAC is entrusted by rights holders such as lyricists, composers, and music publishers to manage their music copyrights. It grants licenses to those who use music and distributes the royalties paid in return to the copyright holders. Established in 1939 as the first copyright management organization in Japan, it has continued its efforts toward the development of music culture as a professional in copyright management for over 85 years.
