Japan Ticket Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Hiroaki Tanaka) will commence API integration with the Korean travel platform "Myrealtrip" through its group company, Japanticket Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, JapanTicket).
From April 2026, Japanese restaurants and cultural experiences will be available for real-time booking and instant confirmation directly from the Korean travel app. This shifts the mainstream from "request booking" to "instant booking." Inbound visitors will be able to complete reservations on the spot as soon as they find a restaurant or cultural experience.
Background
According to the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), the number of travelers from South Korea to Japan in 2025 reached a record high of approximately 9.46 million, with travel consumption also hitting an all-time high.
Our company data also shows a steady increase in bookings from South Korea, with interest expanding from dining reservations to cultural experiences. However, inconveniences such as language barriers and "waiting for a response" still remain for restaurant reservations and experience arrangements, leading to missed opportunities for experiences.
Furthermore, in March 2026, the number of inbound visitors exceeded 3.61 million, marking a record high for March. Among these, South Korea accounted for approximately 790,000 visitors (a 15.0% increase compared to the same month last year), becoming the largest inbound market and driving overall growth alongside Taiwan. Compared to long-haul markets susceptible to geopolitical risks and air travel costs, short-haul Asian markets, including South Korea, serve as a stable source of demand supporting Japan's inbound tourism.
Against this backdrop, our company will further strengthen its efforts to capture demand from South Korea, starting with the highly sought-after dining sector. This will be achieved by leveraging JapanTicket's inbound customer acquisition base and the network of over 15,000 restaurants nationwide through "ebica," a restaurant reservation management system provided by our group company Ebisol.
Overview of the Partnership
① Discover and Book on the Spot
Myrealtrip is a leading travel platform in South Korea for tour and activity bookings. Through this partnership, courses at restaurants, cultural experiences, and admission tickets will be available for real-time booking and instant confirmation. Korean users can complete reservations within their native language app without concerns about language or payment.
② Reduce Reservation Management Hassle, Smoother Operations
API integration automates not only reservation acceptance and inventory management but also product information synchronization. This reduces the burden of individual handling for each supplier and streamlines operations. Furthermore, pre-payment helps curb no-shows and improves visibility for customer visits.
This enables on-site staff to focus more on their primary duties, such as customer service and enhancing the value of the experience.
③ From Request Booking to Instant Booking
Previously, Myrealtrip only offered "request booking," where availability was confirmed after the reservation. With this API integration, inventory will be reflected in real-time, enabling "instant booking" where reservations and payments can be completed on the spot.
Significance of Japan Ticket Holdings' Initiative
Japan Ticket Holdings operates "ebica," a restaurant reservation management system, and "Japachike Plus," an inbound customer acquisition support service. By combining the reservation management expertise cultivated in the restaurant industry with a sales network connecting OTAs worldwide, we have been working to create an environment where tourism businesses and restaurants can seamlessly accept international inbound visitors within their existing operational flows.
This partnership with Myrealtrip further accelerates these efforts. JapanTicket handles not only restaurant course bookings but also cultural experiences such as sumo, ninja experiences, Daruma doll painting, and chopstick making.
While the demand for dining reservations among Korean inbound visitors is high, interest in experiential content is also growing, expanding new opportunities for customer acquisition in both food and experiences.
Under the mission of "supporting hospitality with people and technology and spreading 'iki' (refined) experiences to the world," we will strengthen the foundation to deliver Japan's wonderful food and cultural experiences to more inbound visitors.
