The Japan RepRap Festival 2026 Organizing Committee (Representative: Yuto Horiuchi) will host the "Japan RepRap Festival 2026 (JRRF 2026)" for two days on Saturday, May 30th, and Sunday, May 31st, 2026, at the Tokyo Ryutsu Center (TRC) Exhibition Hall E (6-1-1 Heiwajima, Ota-ku, Tokyo).

What is JRRF? — A Festival of 3D Printing and Manufacturing with Over 140 Booths
JRRF (Japan RepRap Festival) is a community event that inherits the spirit of the open-source 3D printer culture "RepRap," focusing on 3D printers to spread the joy of manufacturing and knowledge exchange. A major feature is the opportunity to see, touch, and discuss actual machines, from self-made 3D printers to the latest commercial models. Diverse participants gather, from those new to 3D printers to veteran makers, corporate representatives, popular YouTubers, and international creators.
This year, the event has expanded its venue size twofold since its inaugural holding last year, growing to over 140 booths in total, including 44 sponsoring companies and 41 corporate exhibitors. The venue will bring together a wide range of manufacturing-related genres, including self-made 3D printers, high-speed FFF printers, filaments, 3D scanners, CAD software, AI modeling, CNC, laser processing machines, and various accessories. In addition to exhibits, there will be demonstrations, hands-on booths, workshops, actual machine experiences, and sales booths, providing a place to experience the forefront of digital fabrication. Not only are the visitors diverse, but the exhibitors are also varied, making it an event that beginners can easily enjoy while also being stimulating for those who want to delve deeper into discussions. Unlike typical exhibitions, JRRF aims to be a place where people who love 3D printers gather beyond their positions, connect, and discover new things and exchanges.

■ An International Event
JRRF 2026 is an international event that attracts participants from both Japan and abroad. Many exhibitors and visitors come from overseas, and the official website supports three languages: Japanese, English, and Chinese.
Invitations for overseas 3D printing content creators and new product announcements are also planned. Other exhibits and experiences never before seen in Japan, such as invitations to the JCJC team and RC demonstrations, will be announced sequentially.
This year's JRRF will also have exhibitors and visitors from overseas. We understand the hesitation of thinking, "I can't speak English..." But why not try to be a little brave? There will be volunteer interpreters at the venue, and translation apps and AI are quite excellent now. However, we believe that speaking in your own words, even if imperfect, is the most effective way to communicate. "Hi!" "I like your work!" — just those few words will make the other person incredibly happy. Even if your language isn't perfect, the love for 3D printers is universal. The moment you speak up is already a wonderful experience. Please take that step.
■ Creating a Family-Friendly Venue
To ensure that families with children can enjoy the event with peace of mind, the facility includes a nursing room, and a stroller parking area will be provided within the venue. Many kid-friendly booths are also planned, where children can actually touch 3D printer creations and participate in workshops. Admission is free for junior high school students and younger, and also for high school students (up to 3rd year of technical college). A stamp rally will also be available on the day. Updates are being posted sequentially on the special page below.

■ MakerChip — Your Own Token Instead of a Business Card
At JRRF 2026, we recommend exchanging "MakerChip" instead of business cards. MakerChip is a 3D-printed token, 40mm in diameter and 3mm thick, conceived by K2 Kevin. You can freely include logos, QR codes, and original designs, functioning as a communication tool to convey your manufacturing skills and sense in a palm-sized format.
Templates are available on Printables and MakerWorld, allowing anyone to create their own MakerChip. On the day of the event, many booths will be distributing MakerChips, which can also be enjoyed as collectibles.

Are you hesitating in front of corporate booths, thinking, "Because it's a company..."? At JRRF, there's no wall between companies and individuals. The "people inside" standing at the booths are just like you—people who absolutely love 3D printers. If you just look at the exhibits, it's no different from a B2B exhibition. "How did you make this?" "What material is this?" — conversations starting with such simple questions happen naturally at JRRF. Talk to each other as people who love 3D printers, regardless of whether you're a company or an individual. You'll surely have fun. Let's exchange MakerChips, not business cards!
■ MakerChip Holder Design Contest Underway
The "MakerChip Holder Design Contest" is currently being held, inviting designs for cases and holders to store MakerChips. New designs and past works are eligible, with "K2 Kevin Award" and "Harukaze Popopo Award" as judge's prizes. Please see the contest page on the official website for details. The application period is still open, so why not start designing now?
