Third Time Held at Tokyu Resort Town Hamanako, Featuring Newly Renovated Courts!!

The pickleball-specific outdoor courts at Tokyu Resort Town Hamanako were just renovated in February 2026. This tournament will be held on all 10 courts. Following previous events, a food and drink area is also planned.

First TOP TOUR to be Held Over Three Days and Include Singles

This will be the first TOP TOUR to feature a singles category. Professional and age-group categories will be held. We look forward to your challenge.

Compete in White Wear! White Style Day to be Held

On Saturday, the doubles event day, participants are encouraged to wear white tops and bottoms. Like those historic tournaments, by playing in white wear, we want players to enjoy the special atmosphere of the TOP TOUR and challenge themselves in their matches.

Also, participants who wear white tops and bottoms on Saturday will receive an original TOP TOUR patch.

*Wearing white is optional (not mandatory).

Food Corner to Enjoy Hamanako and Hamamatsu Delicacies is Also Planned!

The TOP TOUR has been held in various locations across Japan, including Shizuoka, Tochigi, Okayama, Ibaraki, and Aichi prefectures. One of the joys of the TOP TOUR is being able to enjoy local specialties and famous places in each region. This time, we are also planning a food corner where participants can enjoy local delicacies.

What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is a sport originating in the United States, invented in Washington State in 1965. It is said to be a combination of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Players use a paddle to hit a plastic ball with holes, competing for points. It is currently the fastest-growing sport in the US, and the number of players in Japan has been increasing in recent years. With a moderate amount of exercise and relatively safe play, it can be enjoyed by everyone from children to seniors.

JPA TOP TOUR

Launched in June 2024, the JPA TOP TOUR is the Japan Pickleball Association's (JPA) first prize-money competitive tour. It has been held 6 times in prefectures such as Tochigi, Shizuoka, Okayama, Aichi, and Ibaraki. Top players from across Japan and local pickleball players gather for these events.

In addition to prize money and awards from sponsors, the tour provides a vibrant tournament atmosphere with hard courts, a main court for finals, music, food and drinks, and social events.
