The Japan RepRap Festival 2026 Executive Committee (Representative: Yuto Horiuchi) will host 'Japan RepRap Festival 2026 (JRRF 2026)' on May 30 (Sat) and 31 (Sun), 2026, at Hall E of the Tokyo Distribution Center (TRC).
JRRF is a community event that inherits the spirit of 'RepRap,' the open-source 3D printing culture, centered around promoting the joy of making and knowledge exchange. The event gathers diverse manufacturing innovations, from DIY 3D printers and the latest commercial machines to filaments, 3D scanners, CAD, AI modeling, CNC, laser processing, robotics, educational/research tools, and personal creations.
This year, the scale has expanded to include 144 general booths from companies, organizations, and individuals. In addition to exhibits, content creators from both Japan and abroad who share information online will participate, providing opportunities for direct interaction.
Ahead of the event, the official website has been updated with guides for attendees and exhibitors. The JRRF map now features 'favorite' functionality and download options for easy on-site navigation. Exhibitors are also requested to review the updated guides for venue operations, safety, and loading logistics.
Attendees are reminded to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks, as temperatures may be high during the event.
Establishment of the 3D Printer Enthusiasts Association
The '3D Printer Enthusiasts Association,' which has been preparing as the organizing body for JRRF, has officially completed its registration.
JRRF has traditionally served as a place where individuals, companies, educational institutions, creators, and engineers share their passion for 3D printing. With this incorporation, the association is building a framework to continue its activities beyond one-off events, focusing on education, regional community, international exchange, research and industry collaboration, and co-creation with other fields.
JRRF is more of a cultural festival than a traditional exhibition, valuing spontaneous conversation among all attendees. The 3D Printer Enthusiasts Association aims to protect this atmosphere while expanding 3D printing culture into broader society. Future plans include seminars for beginners, hands-on experiences, educational projects, and joint programs with corporations and research institutions.
