JUNGLIA OKINAWA 2026 Heat Countermeasures Phase 2: Enhancing Comfort with New Shaded Rest Areas and Massive Investment

Japan Entertainment Co., Ltd. (Nago City, Okinawa; CEO: Takeshi Kato), the operator of 'JUNGLIA OKINAWA,' will sequentially introduce heat countermeasures, including an investment of several hundred million yen, aiming to provide guests with a comfortable park experience even during summer.

Junglia Okinawa is designed with many outdoor spaces to allow guests to fully enjoy nature, and there has been high demand for more shade and rest areas. To improve the guest experience and the working environment for 'Navigators' (employees), the park is expanding its heat countermeasures for the coming summer. Following the first phase collaboration with Kao's 'Biore,' the second phase involves active investment in new large roofed rest areas and a significant increase in powerful mist fans that deliver cool air over a wide area.

Additionally, a new collaboration program called 'JUNGLIA Cooling Partner 2026' has been launched. Together with 14 participating companies that share the vision of making the Okinawa summer experience the best it can be, the park is working to create an environment where guests can enjoy summer to the fullest.

Furthermore, summer-specific shows using massive amounts of water, such as 'Junglia Splash Fes' and 'Cool Down Water Party,' will be enhanced. Cold drinks using Okinawan ingredients and heat countermeasure goods will also be offered.

■ Key Implementation of Phase 2 'Junglia Okinawa Heat Countermeasures 2026'
Okinawa is often perceived as hot, but even in mid-summer (June-August), there are almost no 'extremely hot days' exceeding 35°C. However, it is characterized by strong sunlight and high humidity. Junglia Okinawa addresses these specific Okinawan traits with the following measures:

1. New Rest Space in 'Breeze Arena' accommodating approx. 260 people for lunch
A new shaded rest space with 264 seats will be established behind the 'Breeze Arena,' the venue for large-scale shows. This space will be equipped with large mist fans. It will be open for all guests and can accommodate large groups for rest or dining. This responds to requests from school trips and incentive tours for collective dining spaces. Special lunch boxes will be available for groups.
- Service starts: June 19, 2026 (Friday)

2. Shaded Seating for approx. 140 people at 'Wild Banquet' Outdoor Restaurant
A dining space with 144 shaded seats will be newly established in the central part of 'Wild Banquet.' Surrounded by powerful mist fans, guests can enjoy Okinawan food and drinks while staying cool. The 'Wild Beat' show with live music will also be held daily nearby.

3. 10 New Powerful Mist Fans in major areas
Large-scale mist fans will be installed in attraction queues and large rest areas. Using evaporative cooling from fine mist and powerful fans, they can deliver cool air up to 30m away. Tarp shades have also been installed at the waiting area for the new large ride 'Yanbaru Tornado,' opening April 29.
