Japan Benex Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Yohei Kobayashi; hereinafter 'Japan Benex') and the National University Corporation The University of Tokyo (Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President: Teruo Fujii; hereinafter 'The University of Tokyo') have concluded an agreement (hereinafter, 'this Agreement') regarding a university facility naming plan (facility naming rights).
The University of Tokyo introduced the naming plan with the aim of increasing the visibility of its facilities, thereby contributing to the revitalization of the campus and local community, in addition to expanding opportunities for collaboration with private businesses.
Japan Benex has been selected for the naming plan of the '21Komcee East K212 Lecture Room' at The University of Tokyo's Komaba Campus. The contract period is five years, from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2031, and the facility will be known as the 'BENEX Room' (hereinafter, 'this Facility'). This facility is used as a place for student interaction, growth, and creativity, including lectures and self-study.
Under its purpose, 'Continue Good Work,' Japan Benex aims to contribute to society by creating new value through its manufacturing capabilities, while continuously taking on new challenges. Through this Agreement, Japan Benex will support the educational and research environment at The University of Tokyo, deepen its ties with the university more than ever before, and cooperate in promoting the development of next-generation talent.
