A Fierce Battle Decided by a Single Point! A Dramatic Awards Ceremony Intertwined with Joy and Tears

At 4:30 PM, the awards ceremony held on stage as the western sun set, the tension in the entire venue reached its peak as the moment to reward their efforts arrived.

Third place went to "BBQ PRO SHOP ALFRED" with a total score of 87.6 points, and second place to "Afro's BBQ" with 90.8 points. And with a narrow margin of just 0.5 points, "Yumaboy's BBQ" seized the throne of the second tournament and the ticket to the world (GOLDEN TICKET) with an impressive 91.3 points.

The moment their name was called, the team members embraced, tears welling up in their eyes. Pitmaster Yuma expressed his gratitude with an emotional expression, saying, "I went to Texas to study at the end of January, and there were times I lost confidence comparing my BBQ to theirs. Still, it was thanks to the support of my wife, who was by my side, my family, and my customers. I was able to give them the best gift."

Judge Jay Cross praised the improvement in skill, stating, "All 8 teams worked hard, and it was truly delicious. BBQ culture like that found in the US is definitely spreading in Japan." Ryota Kojima praised the high-level competition, saying, "We, the judges, could feel the trial and error you all went through. We judged with responsibility."

Long Lines for Free Servings! Entertainment Area Greatly Enhanced with Artist Stages and Experiential Sports!

Fueled by the competitive fervor, the food and entertainment area for general visitors was also significantly scaled up from last year, filling the venue with a festival atmosphere.

At a special stage, a luxurious food show by the WFC Japan representative team "WAGYU BOYS" featured free servings of "brisket," the pinnacle of US beef, slow-cooked for 15 hours. A continuous long line formed at the venue, seeking its exquisite tenderness and overflowing juices.

Furthermore, a major talking point this year was the "American BBQ Experience Zone" for general visitors. Using authentic lidded grills from the world-renowned American grill brand "Weber," visitors were offered a hands-on experience of authentic American BBQ, controlling the meat's cooking themselves. Cheers erupted from participating families and groups as they grilled thick steaks and were met with fragrant smoke and perfect grill marks upon opening the lid.

Additionally, a special booth for "Cornhole," a classic American experiential sport, appeared within the venue. It's an indispensable party sport accompanying BBQs in the US. Many visitors enjoyed heated matches while cheering, saying, "I tried it for the first time, and I'm hooked!" and "It's simple but has depth!" as they competed casually, from adults to children.

Moreover, talk shows and live performances by artists were held on a dynamic special track stage. In a talk session with the judges, they passionately discussed the appeal of food sports and highlights of the tournament. The artist stages by El Kurashima, Taira, and DJ AViA further amplified the venue's excitement, with their pleasant music blending with the open atmosphere of American BBQ.
