JALUX Opens 'Hokkaido Branch Preparatory Office' in Sapporo

JALUX Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Toshiaki Kasai; hereinafter 'JALUX'), a trading company of the JAL Group, announces the opening of the 'Hokkaido Branch Preparatory Office' (Location: Sapporo, Hokkaido) in April 2026 as a strategic base in Hokkaido. This office will serve as a key facility with a view to upgrading to a full branch, accelerating the development of local systems.

JALUX has long deepened its ties with Hokkaido through the operation of 'JAL PLAZA' at New Chitose Airport, product development in collaboration with local companies and municipalities, the promotion of regional revitalization through the 'JAL Hometown Tax' business, and the high-freshness transport of Hokkaido products using air cargo. In April 2025, the company acquired Hokkaido Food Frontier Co., Ltd., which operates 'Hokkaido Umai-mono Kan' nationwide as a touchpoint for introducing delicious Hokkaido food.

Strengthening collaboration with local companies and municipalities: We will strengthen synergy creation and supplier development with local companies, promoting business development that unites the region. At the same time, we will work with various local gateways to capture growing inbound demand and deliver the value of the Hokkaido brand widely both domestically and internationally.
4. Innovation creation led by young employees: We will launch a team centered on young employees who will lead the next generation, creating new value themed on Hokkaido's food with flexible ideas that are not bound by existing frameworks.
